Duty Manager assists the Terminal Manager/Station Manager in managing and monitoring operational performance of the Station.

What You’ll Do

  • Investigates and submits reports on administrative cases, irregularities, or other operational incidents.
  • Provides corrective and preventive actions to discrepancies and delays charged to his assigned areas.
  • Conducts daily briefings/de-briefings and cascading of Station Notices and Memos for all personnel and all corrective and preventive actions of encountered events where applicable.
  • Coordinates with HCC and/or NCC-AS for planned/unplanned flight delays/disruptions, cancellations and possible aircraft changes.
  • Monitors station facilities (e.g. carrier system/gate, counter FIDS, baggage conveyors, cargo warehouse) and reports the same to the Airport Management and Terminal Manager/Station Manager/Manager.
  • Monitors and ensures smooth departure and arrival operations. Attends guest service issues (e.g. LCI, ancillary products, DG items, cargo discrepancies etc.) and provides immediate solutions based on established policies and procedures of the carrier.
  • Ensures timely and correct information is provided and disseminated by ground staff to shippers, consignees, and departing/arriving guests.
  • Manages day-to-day disruptions within authorized parameters and established policies and escalate to higher station management, items beyond his/her authority.
  • Collates, validates, and submits daily shift reports to the Terminal Manager/Station Manager/Manager.
  • Attends and provides operational enhancements during Station Meetings chaired by Terminal Manager/Station Manager/Manager.
  • Ensures guests and personnel's security is maintained within the operation areas.
  • Identifies safety hazards and takes action to eliminate any safety issues or unsafe practices.
  • Coordinates with concerned stations and departments on passenger and cargo related concerns.
  • Ensures timely coding and update of flight movement information.
  • Plays a major role in the Emergency Response Plan activities.
  • Performs specific functions that may be assigned by the Immediate Superior.
  • Manages the unplanned flight delays/ disruptions and possible aircraft changes.
  • Ensures that baggage handling processes run smoothly, coordinating with other departments such as ground operations, security, and airline personnel to maintain efficient baggage flow.
  • Monitors and ensure smooth departure and arrival operations.
  • Aid in day-to-day disruptions (aircraft downgrade / upgrade, flight cancellation, additional flight recovery, etc.) related to baggage within authorized parameters and established policies and escalate to higher station management, items beyond his authority.
  • Ensure that his shift requirements in terms of resources, facilities, equipment, and supplies are operational and adequately deployed, including IPAD’s. VOIP, baggage and paper printers and others. (Any inoperative facilities are reported and acted upon by the right department.)
  • Maintains records of baggage handling activities, including reports on lost or based on agreed SL damaged luggage, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adheres to the instruction (verbal or written) communicated by his/her immediate superior, that is aligned with 1Aviation’s Mission, Vision and Values.

An ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Aviation related course.
  • At least 2 years experience in the related field

  • Good Communication skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Knows how to maintain good relationships with colleagues and client airline
