Draftsperson (Intermediate - Inventor)

The role of the draftsperson is broadly to prepare drawings for manufacture, and for the engineering review and approval of new design developments. As part of our drafting team, the role will initially include the preparation and checking of shop drawings for projects, then will progressively work on more fundamental design tasks up to and including product improvements and innovation.

This is a complex civil product including many different components that are fabricated and assembled, and so the successful candidate must have sufficient experience to be able to quickly pick up the product design concepts and properly apply them.

The Inventor software package is used by our drafting team and experience with it is preferred for the successful candidate. We will provide training on the product and internal drafting methods. People with structural, civil and mechanical drafting experience are encouraged to apply.

The Responsibilities Will Include (as Required)

• Produce technical drawings including workshop drawings, concept drawings, construction drawings.
• Produce BOM and relevant files to assist delivery of drawings.
• Manage produced models and files, check-in them to the Vault system to ensure all information uploaded and up to date.
• Modification of models and drawings for project-specific designs.
• Assist in the development of a standard library of component drawings
• Implement systematic product improvements across the product drawing library (as directed by Senior team members)
