As a Document Controller, You Will Be
Responsible for the control of all documents (drawings, specifications, procedures, policies) for allocated projects. This includes:
- Compliance to relevant document control policies and procedures
- Organises information into the relevant databases
- Organises, records & stores information and responds to requests for up to date documentation including;
- Drawings & specifications
- Plans, procedures and work instructions
- Work in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures, based on customer and ISO requirements
- Ensuring corrective actions are taken and reporting completed for any documentation discrepancies
- Handle enquiries from Project staff and clients related to documentation issues
- Respond to enquiries from subcontractors regarding documents and drawings
- Works cooperatively with others to accomplish group goals.
- Providing assistance to other Document Control staff and the Administration team as required
Non-negotiables
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with a Construction, Engineering or Maintenance service provider will be viewed highly favorably.
- Computer skills - MS Office Suite. Particularly MS Excel & the ability to manage large volumes of data.
- Sound exposure to Document Control process’
- Experience with Document Management Platform (QDMS and/or
- InEight Document/TeamBinder preferred)
- Working knowledge / exposure to engineering disciplines including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Electrical.
- High attention to detail.
- Very competent and confident written and verbal communication (English).
- Ability to work as part of team and seek assistance as required.
