Job Title: Digital UI/UX Designer

Role: Freelancer (1-2 months)

Location: Manila, Philippines

About the role:

We have a need for a dedicated and talented Digital (UX) User Experience / (UI) User Interface Designer.

They will be working as part of a growing team that is challenged to define and evolve the customer experience across all client channels and platforms, serving a wide variety of Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) customers over Asia.

What you will be doing:

The successful candidate should combine both maturity in the field of UX and a mastered flair of (UI) design into one. They should have experience in creating both functional User Experience and crafting stunning visual designs.

Digital Marketing Design

  • Raise the level of marketing activations within the team by working closely with the Creative Copywriter to jointly ideate concepts and executive the marketing assets
  • Responsible for generating the key visuals, imagery, scamps, and illustrations that visually communicate activation campaign concepts
  • Ensure efficiency of activation campaigns is increased by utilising engage and moving imagery, illustrations and/or animations
  • Ensure localisation of assets is culturally relevant and engaging to the specific audience of each market
  • Push the technical creativity level of work via digital and social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Display Ads, etc.

(UI) User Interface Design

  • Design of a wide range of digital assets, including UI designs for websites, social media content, email, interactive content (including infographics, how to guides, etc.), eCommerce assets.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Improve the design of all marketing automation (MA) designs, microsites, landing pages
  • Design graphic user interface elements, such as menus, icons and widgets
  • Merge the CLIENTS Brand design with the functionalities of UX to amplify the overall Customer Experience (provide UI mock-ups and prototypes to validate and optimise)
  • Be able to quickly prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Adhere to both CLIENTS and Partnering Brand guidelines on fonts, colours and image selection
  • Collaborate with the existing team to ensure designs are relevant and progressive and bring the content to life with interactivity, animation when applicable.
  • Innovate and think creatively, constantly push the work and their colleagues to embrace new and emerging trends

(UX) User Experience

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with data analyst and stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
  • Create and modify wireframes, user flows, functional specs and prototypes using primary and secondary research and analysis methods to define best in class customer experiences across CLIENTS digital channels (social media and partner sites such as Lazada and Amazon).
  • Use the CLIENTS Design Pattern Library (DPL) and the CLIENTS wireframing platform, Axure, as primary tools for creating user flows and prototypes
  • Coordinate work with other team members to ensure a collaborative approach to producing work
  • Translate complex technical and business requirements into concise user requirements and wireframes
  • Optimise and enhance the current overall User Experience, creating solid case studies for improvements throughout, using data and user research to validate all suggested improvements.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders, internal teams, partners on UX findings and recommendations
  • Educate internal team and CLIENTS business leads to ensure there is understanding of best practices
  • Execute and participate in Lean-Agile UX methods to deliver customer validated designs in quick iteration.

General

  • Present work clearly and concisely to large and senior audiences, always backed up with a clear rationale and validations for the work produced.
  • Respectfully challenge assumptions and engage others in dialogue to
  • Resolve issues and push user centric thinking, push past the status quo
  • Be able to switch gears quickly and work on multiple projects at once
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software (Adobe CC, Axure, InVision,...)
  • Team spirit; always be collaborative, always validate the work with the
  • Creative Director support activation campaigns, when needed, with developing digital assets like animations, short form video content, online advertising and other projects

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Bachelor degree, in related field, Human Factors/Human Computer Interaction, Digital Design, Cognitive Science or Technical Communications preferred
  • Has delivered B2B digital collateral in a fast paced and iterative environment
  • Minimum of 1-year combined experience as an information architect, user experience architect
  • Minimum 1-year experience with Axure, Sketch, InVision or Visio, (Axure preferred)
  • Minimum 2-year experience with Photoshop or InDesign to support prototype creation
  • Ability to make recommendations and present complex information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to thrive within a Lean Agile environment
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to be self–directed
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Delivered B2B and/or B2C projects has outstanding all-round design skills, with in-depth knowledge of
  • Adobe Creative Suite Is able to comfortably work as part of an onsite team
  • Possess knowledge of interaction design, mobile design, user-centred experience design, brand development, digital marketing and the creative process
  • Demonstrated ability to maximize relationships in cross-functional teams
  • Experience delivering projects around the Asia Pacific region
  • Experience of delivering projects within an Agile Scrum framework
  • Creative agency experience preferred
  • Ability to speak/understand Japanese is an added bonus
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
