A Digital Marketing and Data Coordinator is responsible for assisting WSP’s cross-business and national digital marketing strategy that builds our brand, encourages our people and engages our clients.
The role will help the digital marketing team to grow our digital platforms, apply digital strategy to our marketing campaigns and help deliver training and reporting for our digital systems, with a clear link between our digital marketing strategy and business strategy.
This role combines creativity with analytical skills to support WSP’s digital presence and contributes to delivering high-performing, efficient digital marketing strategies and outcomes. A Junior Digital Marketing and Data Coordinator also helps embed best practices and build a strong, positive culture in the Digital Marketing team, broader Marketing and Communications team, and across WSP’s offices.
What you'll do:
- Champion WSP’s Guiding Principles and ensure a safe working environment is always maintained.
- Champion a client-focused culture by implementing WSP’s approach to client experience and integrated digital marketing activities.
- Support the Marketing and Communications portfolio of work – making digital a seamless element of how we communicate internally and externally.
- Support the Digital Marketing team to help create and implement digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and the website.
- Collect and organise key data and metrics from various sources, including website analytics, social media metrics, and campaign results for digital marketing reporting.
- Support the preparation of clear and concise reports to communicate findings and insights and identify trends and patterns in data to inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
- Support the WSP's social media channels, including scheduling, data collection, tracking, and reporting.
- Assist with updating and maintaining website content, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and optimised for search engines and accessibility.
- Conduct research into competitors, clients, and our wider social media presence.
- Assist with the planning and execution of webinars.
- Provide general administrative and logistical support to the team.
What we'll love about you:
- Tertiary education is desirable but not essential if you have the relevant industry experience.
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing and communications concepts, development, and execution.
- Understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying up to date with industry trends
- Analytical, interpretation and writing skills.
- Proactive in delivering to tight deadlines and key milestones.
- Driven to understand how to plan and execute organic social media campaigns and paid campaigns through LinkedIn Campaign Manager (Knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube desirable).
- Driven to understand SEO, keyword planning and executing PPC ads (experience with BrightEdge and/or Google Ads desirable).
- Prepared to be both strategic and operational in implementing digital activities.
- Driven to develop skills in transforming data into insight and linking digital activities to business strategies.
- Interested in working cross-functionally in a large, matrixed organisation within a high-performing culture and team.
- Developing interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence stakeholders (of all levels) across an organisation from a wide variety of roles.
- Flexible, agile and open to change in the planning and delivery process as part of an ever-evolving company
