Job Summary:

If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to work with the global Emerson Systems and Software organization, this is a stimulating opportunity for you! You will be working in conjunction with a team of DevOps Engineers who develop CI/CD infrastructure, processes, and tools that Software Developers will use within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)-based organization sought at delivering best-in-class process automation products built across web, cloud, PC, and embedded platforms integrated with internally developed devices. The ideal candidate has multiple years of experience with IT/engineering and/or operating complex software systems supporting the maintenance and lifecycle of development infrastructure on various platforms and technologies. The successful candidate should be able to work in a multifaceted and fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with a wide range of people, experience levels, and technical backgrounds.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and ongoing development of CI/CD infrastructure
  • Support builds, deployment to desktop/mobile/cloud platforms, packages and package management
  • Support and implement automation, development, and testing tools
  • Work effectively with the architect, development teams, systems integration team, IT, and other DevOps infrastructure teams to develop, automate the different stages, maintain, and monitor the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Continuously learn appropriate domain knowledge, technologies, skills, and tools needed for process improvements
  • spanning multiple product domains

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in developing and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline
  • Established experience with automated software deployment and integration, techniques, tools, and processes
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages (like C#, Java, PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Experience working with version control, build, deployment, test management tools, and CI/CD tools (like GIT, TFS, Visual Studio, Ansible, Docker, etc.)
  • Knowledge or experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking technologies
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and other departments in local and international settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience with several software development technologies (like .NET Core, Xamarin.Forms, GraphQL, Neo4J, ASP.NET, React, Angular, TypeScript, IOS/Android frameworks, REST, and JSON)
  • Implementation experience with Docker and containerization
  • Experience using AI tools in development (like Github Copilot)
  • Strong in OOP and OOA/D
  • Experience using an Agile (Scrum and/or SAFe) development process.
  • Involved with multi-tiered or moderate-to-complex system design or development
