POSITION OBJECTIVE

The IT Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users regarding computer systems, hardware, and software. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues, installing and configuring hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems.

* Provide first-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.

* Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripherals.

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.

* Assist with the setup and deployment of new equipment and software.

* Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.

* Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure efficient operation of the company's IT infrastructure.

* Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.

* Provide training and support to end-users on various software applications and IT procedures.

* Ensures compliance with the IT KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), ISMS, and NSO (Network Security Operations) Scorecard.

* Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.

* Perform projects that may be assigned by the IT Manager.

EDUCATION

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

* Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar are a plus.

EXPERIENCE

* Proven experience in desktop support or similar roles.

* Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.

* Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic network concepts.

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise software.
