We, at AMCS, are seeking an experienced Data Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, data marts, and data testing within the Azure ecosystem. A key focus will be on test automation using test automation frameworks to ensure the integrity and quality of our data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data warehouse and data mart solutions.
• Implement and maintain automated test scripts using test automation frameworks to validate data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architect, product owner and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
• Perform data validation, data integrity checks, and data reconciliation across various data sources.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Conduct performance testing and optimization of data solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Provide regular reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven work experience in data testing, with a focus on data warehouses and data marts.
• Strong experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage).
• Proficiency in Python and experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework).
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with database testing.
• Familiarity with data modelling concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Certification in Azure Data Engineering.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Preferably Power BI) would be advantageous.
