DATA SCIENCE TEAM LEAD

Lead analytics services activities in developing complex analytical models, implementing machine learning methodologies, and creating analytical frameworks that drive segmentation, forecasting, optimization, and predictive insights. Collaborate with Business Solutions for delivery coordination and Model Operations for data acquisition and deployment support.

Responsibilities

Model Development & Technical Leadership

• Leads development of complex models for segmentation, propensity, forecasting, and optimization aligned with Business Solutions delivery schedules
• Implements ML methodologies for structured and unstructured data insights using data acquired through Model Operations
• Applies domain-specific techniques for risk, marketing, and operations based on business requirements
• Ensures optimal solution selection through rigorous evaluation and testing for delivery readiness
  
  

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

• Works closely with Business Solutions teams on technical requirements, solution specifications, and delivery coordination
• Collaborates with Model Operations teams for data acquisition, processing, and infrastructure needs
• Coordinates with AI Innovation teams when advanced techniques or emerging technologies are required
• Facilitates seamless handoff between model development, validation, and production deployment
  
  

Analytical Framework Development

• Designs experimental frameworks to test business hypotheses and validate analytical approaches
• Creates analytical data structures optimized for modeling in coordination with Model Operations
• Develops interpretable outputs with appropriate visualizations for Business Solutions stakeholder communication
• Implements automated analytical processes to support scalable model development
  
  

Quality Assurance & Methodology

• Establishes quality standards and validation frameworks for analytical model development
• Drives adoption of best practices in statistical modeling and machine learning methodologies
• Ensures model accuracy, reliability, and business relevance throughout development process
• Documents analytical processes, methodologies, and technical specifications
  
  

Solution Delivery & Business Impact

• Supports Business Solutions in translating analytical insights into business recommendations
• Delivers complex analytical models that drive measurable business impact and strategic decision-making
• Creates technical documentation and specifications for model deployment and operations
• Collaborates with Business Solutions on stakeholder communication and solution adoption
  
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Leads and mentors Analytics Services team members across various analytical specializations
• Fosters collaboration with other Data Science teams and cross-departmental coordination
• Drives knowledge sharing and capability building in advanced analytics techniques
• Manages team capacity and resources to support Business Solutions delivery commitments
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree with post-bachelor degree units or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
• Must have at least 3 years experience in advanced analytics with at least 1 year in technical leadership roles
• Must have strong expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and analytical techniques
• Must have experience leading technical teams and delivering complex analytical projects
• Must have understanding of collaborative project delivery and cross-departmental coordination
• Preferably has experience in banking or financial services industry
• Must have advanced proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis tools
• Must have the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language
• Must have experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Must have knowledge of analytical platforms, programming languages, and model development frameworks
• Must have understanding of data architecture and model deployment processes
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Preferably has experience with model deployment and production environments
• Preferably has background in specific analytical domains (optimization, geospatial, predictive analytics)
• Preferably has certification in data science or advanced analytics
• Must have excellent technical communication and presentation skills
