Working with clients from around the world, our Real Assets team is making previously unseen investment data accessible. With us, you’ll empower clients to more effectively analyze performance and risk while building more sustainable strategies.
Your Team Responsibilities
The Real Estate Data Associate is responsible for supporting the collection, validation, and maintenance of high-quality real estate data that fuels MSCI's analytics and investment tools. This role involves data acquisition, data cleaning, data integrity assurance, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of real estate data.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and process real estate data from multiple sources, including public records, financial statements, and third-party data providers
- Perform quality assurance and data integrity checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data
- Support data integration processes to consolidate data from various sources and maintain a robust data repository
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as data engineering, analytics, and product management, to enhance data processing workflows and improve data accessibility
- Assist in data analysis and report generation for internal and external stakeholders, supporting MSCI’s real estate analytics and investment tools
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance data collection and data quality assurance workflows
- Stay informed of industry trends, new data sources, and best practices in real estate data management
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Data Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data management, preferably within the real estate or financial services industry
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience in data validation and quality assurance processes
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, or other database management tools; familiarity with Python or R is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Preferred Skills:- Knowledge of real estate market trends and investment fundamentals
- Familiarity with real estate data standards and taxonomies
- Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
