Data Enrichment Specialist (Caller)Location: Remote (occasional in-office training may be required)

Reports To: Head of Product

About UsOnOrder Inc. (operating as Opener) is an early-stage startup focused on helping emerging food and beverage brands access independent retailers. We act as a modern alternative to brokers, using both people and technology to open doors and drive growth for small CPG companies.

As a Data Enrichment Specialist, you’ll be on the front lines — contacting retail stores, identifying key decision makers (KDMs), and gathering the accurate information our platform needs to connect brands with buyers.

Responsibilities

  • Call retail stores to identify the individual responsible for product buying or inventory decisions.
  • Gather accurate contact information: full name, role/title, and verified email (spelled back for accuracy).
  • Confirm consent for outreach to the provided contact.
  • Capture bonus information where possible (e.g., distributors, multi-location coverage).
  • Document all calls, outcomes, and contact details in our internal systems.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidence, and clarity on every call, representing both Opener and the brands we serve.
  • Handle objections politely, ask clarifying questions if multiple departments exist, and schedule follow-ups where needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong phone communication skills; confident, polite, and concise.
  • Comfortable speaking with busy store staff and handling rejection gracefully.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy (especially with names and emails).
  • Ability to follow structured scripts while adapting naturally to each conversation.
  • Organized and reliable, able to hit weekly contact acquisition goals.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or outbound calling is an asset but not required.
