The opportunity

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Manila. As Data Engineer/Applicaation Development Senior Analyst, you will provide support for application data needs and data modeling, collect data from various sources such as databases, APIs, external providers, and streaming sources, design and implement efficient data pipelines, and manage data storage by selecting appropriate database systems, optimizing data schemas, and ensuring data quality, integrity, scalability, and performance to handle large volumes of data.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Be

• You will provide support on application Data needs and Data models.
• You will do Data Collection and Integration, and collect data from various sources, including databases, APIs, external data providers, and streaming sources.
• You will design and implement efficient data pipelines
• You will manage data Storage and Management choosing appropriate database systems, optimizing data schemas, and ensuring data quality, integrity, scalability, and performance to handle large volumes of data.
  
  

To Join Our Team You Will Need The Following

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• You must at least 4 years experience in applying current information technology to specific business areas.
• You must have a background in SQL database management. Experience with SQL DB permissions for read/write access, security users, admin accounts, etc.
• You must have a background in PL/SQL and Oracle DB custom application experience
• You must have an experience with Distributed Database Architectures and Database links
• You must have an experience with Microsoft reporting/Macros
• You must have basic Python skills
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• You must have a good understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes
• You must be fluent in SQL writing queries through Linq or other similar methods
• You must have a proficient in understanding query performance/indexing
• You must have AWS experience would be a plus.
• You must have a vey good communication skills
• You must be able to work autonomously.
• You must be capable of working semi-independently with specified objectives, through interaction with supervisors and stakeholders. Customer relationships should begin to develop through the delivery of stable working solutions and follow-up.
• You must possess basic organizational, communication, and time management skills. Should have the ability to complete assignments on time and with minimal error.
• You must participate as an active team member, and practice effective listening skills and effective collaboration skills.
• You must achieve all information technology objectives through the use of approved standards and guidelines. Completed work must be reviewed for conformance to standards, timeliness, and efficiency.
• You must have interaction with all levels of Information Technology associates and stakeholders. The position may also interact with external customers to exchange technical expectations or obtain follow-up on testing results.
