Cyber Security Analyst

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the organization’s digital infrastructure from security threats and ensuring the compliance and security of all systems. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver cybersecurity projects, handle incidents and service requests, and ensure that industry frameworks, such as ISO27001, are adhered to.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in project coordination, and a thorough understanding of security frameworks and risk management processes. The ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable security solutions will be critical.

Key Responsibilities: Cyber Security Operations

• Participate in Security Audits -Assist to Audit IT Infrastructure and Applications to ensure compliance of policies, standards, guidelines, procedures.
• Participate in the Security Risk Process for BAU and all project activities- Assist to Ensure Build and run activities comply to policies, standards, guidelines, procedures.
• Provide backup to the IT Security SME- Be the focal point for all security related questions queries.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management- Be part of the client face for external security related interactions.
• Assist the Major Incident Management role in the event of a Security related breech- Undertake tasks during a Security Incident.
• Perform security awareness education for IT and end customers -Undertake and perform security education requirements for IT as a whole.
• Operational support of the Security Posture – Provide operational support and maintenance of the security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures, ensuring alignment to ISO27001.
  
  

Project Leadership and Delivery

• Support roll outs and new system implementation for to confirm cyber security.

• Working in a dynamic environment at pace delivering to timelines.
• Communicating complex Security technical issues in an easy-to-understand business related language
• Ensuring that IT functions are safe and secure
• Supporting stressful Security Incidents

• Research and provide recommendations on cyber security methods.
  
  

Key Deliverables / Business Outcomes

• Security Departmental SLO/SLA are meet on Incident and Service Request Tickets
• ISO27001 Framework is adhered to and followed
• Deliver Cyber Security Projects as outlined and agreed
• Audit requirements in Cyber security are met
  
  

Qualifications

• 4-5 years experience in cyber security
• Knowledge of security frameworks, standards, policies, and best industry practices, including ISO27001.
• Project coordination and delivery experience
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing, isolating and interpreting business requirements/issues and translate into appropriate security and risk solutions.
• Logical thinker with well-developed analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation with robust verbal and written communication skills.
• Trustworthy and dependable, with the ability to lead by example with a good work ethic, and a “can do” attitude.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, by being agile, responsive, and good under pressure.
• Ability to bridge the gap between IT and business needs (Desirable)
• Understand threat tactics and attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK framework), ensuring solutions are in place to reduce the risk of breach (Desirable)
  
  

Accreditation / Qualification Requirements

• Working towards a professional security accreditation, e.g., CISSP, CISM, SANS, GIAC, CCNA Security, etc. (Desirable)
