Overall Role Purpose


  • Manages and coordinates Customs Operations
  • Monitors operations and ensures constant optimization to deliver maximum productivity
  • Ensures compliance with group business strategy and local business environment, adhering to regulations and internal procedures
  • Develops overall growth strategy and steers CDZ business (including service development and strategic focus)


Key Activities


  • Manages and drives programs and process advancement for the department
  • Liaises with Products on Customs services and provides pricing and margin guidance, supports on bids, RFEs and customer presentations
  • Coordinates all operations (export, import, and custom activities), adhering to regulations and internal procedures
  • Ensures team meets customer requirements on customs and takes corrective actions in case of deviations from requirements
  • Provide guidance to Export, Import and Gateway to ensure operations are consistent with group business strategy and compliant with the local business environment
  • Monitors quality and adherence to standards and is responsible for constant improvement and optimization of product means
  • Develops a high-performance service culture within the Export, Import and Gateway teams
  • Ensures realization of budgetary performance by setting and monitoring clear objectives
  • Manages interface with Customer Service, Products, and Global Ser-vice Centers, if required


Qualifications


  • Industry experience with proven track record in people management role
  • Excellent understanding of International Trade Compliance and Customs Regulations
  • Previous exposure to the development of business policies and process governance within an international business
  • Relevant experience in Sales and business development
  • Excellent knowledge of export and import controls essential for this role
  • Proficient decision-making skills
  • High degree of written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Diligent attention to details and ability to work under pressure
