JOB DESCRIPTION


This position plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth day-to-day and end-to-end settlement of Currencies and Emerging Markets’ (CEM) transactions, while maintaining a highest standard of efficiency, compliance with the local Regulation, and customer satisfaction.

As a CEM Operations Analyst within the Philippines Operations team, you will be responsible in ensuring timely settlement of CEM products such as foreign exchange, fixed income, and derivatives product trades. You will also monitor risk exposure, and contribute to the overall success of Philippines CEM Operations team.

Job responsibilities:

  • Confirm and settle Currency and Emerging Markets trades in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Bankers, CEM Sales and counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile and coordinate daily cash movements to Cash Management and Treasury Team.
  • Perform daily reconciliation and investigations of Nostro and Wash Breaks.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and work closely with other line of business.
  • Perform sanction screening of FX documents and ensure that these are in compliance with the local regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of Regulatory changes affecting currencies and emerging Markets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify areas for enhancement, drive automation and process efficiencies.
  • Perform regular and annual review to update and revise SOPs
  • Work closely with trading desks, risk management, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Knowledge and deep understanding of the local Regulations is an advantage.
