Crypto Research Analyst (remote)

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Crypto Research Analyst to monitor reliable cryptocurrency news sources and identify key upcoming events that could impact token prices. The ideal candidate will compile these insights into concise, actionable reports, making them accessible for strategic decision-making. This is a part-time role with flexible hours initially, with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance.

• Part time: 20 hours per week (with potential to grow into a full time role)
• 100% remote job / independent contractor
• Working hours: Singapore working hours (GMT+8)
• Monthly Starting Salary: $400 (can be higher, depending on candidate’s level of experience)
  
  

Key Responsibilities

Event Monitoring & Analysis:

• Identify impactful cryptocurrency events (e.g., token upgrades, regulatory updates) from credible sources like Coindesk, CoinTelegraph, and official channels.
• Verify the reliability and accuracy of information from multiple sources.
  
  

Content Summarization

• Write concise summaries (approximately two paragraphs) for each event, highlighting key details such as timelines and potential market impacts.
• Include relevant 3-month price charts from CoinGecko for key tokens (e.g., SOL-USDT).
  
  

Database Management

• Maintain and update a Google Sheets document weekly with a curated list of around 10 notable upcoming events, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  
  

Collaboration

• Work independently while aligning with the firm's standards for quality and relevance.
• Incorporate feedback to refine processes and outputs over time.
• Collaborate directly with the CEO.
  
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Passionate About Crypto: Deep personal interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain trends, actively staying updated on the latest developments in the crypto ecosystem.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Capable of identifying high-impact news and discerning its potential implications on token prices.
• Writing & Research Proficiency: A background in journalism, research, or related fields is preferred. Ability to create clear, engaging summaries of technical or market-based content.
• Attention to Detail: Committed to ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all reported events and data.
  
  

Qualifications

• Familiarity with crypto tools and platforms such as CoinGecko, Google Sheets, and news aggregators.
• With at least 1 year of experience in the similar capacity.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet weekly deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of charting and interpreting cryptocurrency price trends.
• Strong passion for and interest in the cryptocurrency space.
