Cost Accountant Senior

We are looking for a self-starter and independent Senior Cost Accountant in our Finance team. In this role, you will be over-all in charge of the Product Costing, Production and Operations Cost, Gross Margin Analysis, Variance Analysis, Standard cost roll-up and updates, Accounting and Finance functions in the business unit. This exciting opportunity is 100% office-based at our Biñan City in Laguna, Philippines office.

What you will do:

• Support Management for the timely preparation of financial statements and necessary financial data as a tool for planning and decision-making purposes
• Coordinates with various departments for product costing and material requirement.
• Updates Standard cost through roll-up process in JDE for LOH, Freight cost, and Inventory unit cost.
• Recommend proper cost control to cost centers with the goal of decreasing unnecessary expenses, thereby increasing profit.
• Provides effective financial and business unit analysis to support decision-making within the business unit.
• Supports the Controller in the preparation of the annual business plan at the business unit level
  
  

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; preferably a Certified Public Accountant.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as Cost Accountant, Finance Analyst or Auditor for Plant Controlling preferably in a multinational set-up.
• Has knowledge experience of Finance functions, Supply Chain functions, and Production/Operations processes.
• A passion for details and the ability to explain them.
• Advanced background in Accounting computer systems, and expert in excel functions and pivot tables, macro-excel is a plus. Experience in JDE is an advantage.
