Your impact
Key Responsibilities of the Control and Instrumentation Engineer
- Lead I&C design reviews and support technical advisory services for energy and power projects, including CCGT and renewable technologies.
- Develop and review control system architecture, system descriptions, SOO, panel designs, and instrumentation specifications.
- Analyze and interpret P&IDs, instrument layouts, cable routing, hook-up drawings, and I/O lists.
- Participate in HAZOP and CHAZOP sessions and provide on-site support as needed.
- Promote and engage in Jacobs’ safety culture throughout project delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers on technical aspects and best practices.
- Contribute to bids, proposals, and client engagement activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and maintain strong client relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, I&C or similar
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in designing I&C systems in the power industry. Field experience is an advantage.
- Experience with the following software tools AutoCAD, SPI-Intools, Navisworks, PLC, HMI, SCADA, etc
- Experience with the following protocols Protocol Modbus, Profibus, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, BACnet, HART, etc.
