Essential Duties
- Review, negotiate (with the customer through sales) and analyze the requested changes to Canon’s standard terms and conditions.
- Work with the Contracts Manager to ensure that the requested changes and internal approvals are accurately.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders when necessary.
- Assist sales in endorsing agreements for signature to the internal stakeholders and the customer in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist with the preparation and communication of contract summaries of new master agreements outlining Canon’s key contractual commitments.
- Manage the novation/assignment of customer contracts.
- Suggest and implement continual process improvements for to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Be seen as a trusted contractual advisor, engaging with all levels of the organization.
- Other administrative tasks such as but not limited to research, maintaining of contract registers and register of precedents of negotiated terms for future contracts use.
- Graduate of political science, legal management or legal studies or relevant field, preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial contractual term and contracts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated prioritization skills to accommodate rapidly changing requirements and ability to meet tight deadlines. This includes ability to handle pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot and think on your feet.
- Be able to quickly establish good rapport with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge in using Salesforce, Nitro and DocuSign is an advantage.
