Content Strategist

The Content Strategist will drive content and design strategy for a range of clients, requiring expertise in content creation, branding, and UI/UX design. You will work closely with clients and a multidisciplinary team to produce impactful marketing campaigns. Experience in B2B marketing is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Assessment: Independently assess client’s B2B marketing maturity, define marketing goals and objectives, and clarify project scopes with client stakeholders.
- Client Engagement: Establish and align procedures and timelines for content operations and KPIs with clients. Build and stabilize content production processes and workflows.
- Content Audits: Perform content audits, map content to buyer stages, and formulate new content plans to meet client objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with design and UI/UX teams to integrate branding and UI/UX recommendations.
- Priority Coordination: Coordinate priorities with client stakeholders, identifying dependencies or risks proactively.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze performance data, collaborating with campaign strategists and data analysts to optimize marketing campaigns.
- Best Practices: Champion 2X best practices for content and design with client stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional writing and content creation.
- 3+ years managing and refining content or creative strategy.
- Experience in business content marketing and demand generation.
- Project management or coordination experience with design and UI/UX teams is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in advertising, marketing, business, journalism, OR relevant experience.
- Concise and engaging writing and editing skills.
- Impeccable spelling and grammar.
- Experience and familiarity with online marketing, content marketing, and demand generation best practices
- Strategic and creative thinking about content.
- Familiarity with business and technology sectors.
- Excellent research and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing needs.
- Ability to onboard and train new writers effectively
- Strong quality control and feedback skills to maintain writing standards

- Get, want, and have the capacity to fulfill the requirements of the content marketing specialization.
- Fulfillment of Key Performance Indicators related to quality, turnaround time, workflow adherence, productivity benchmarks, and client marketing goals.
Core Functions:
Content Architect
- Content Auditing, Strategy and Production Plan: Conduct a thorough content audit to assess the current materials and identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations aligned with client’s marketing/business goals. Once these recommendations are agreed upon, develop a detailed roadmap and execution plan -end-to-end content production plan encompassing both content creation and design team to ensure a seamless implementation.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective content delivery.
- Client Interaction: Be seen as a strategic partner to the main stakeholder by taking on a proactive consultative role.
- Onboarding: Ensure that the onboarding of writers adheres to 2X best practices and standards.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance of client content operations to ensure compliance with best practices and high-quality output.
Fulfillment of Key Performance Indicators related to quality, turnaround time, workflow adherence, productivity benchmarks, and client marketing goals:
- Quality: Ensuring quality and consistency in content output.
- New client stabilization: Successful execution of content strategies and adherence to strategy implementation timelines, and seamless deployment of the Run team.
- Workflow adherence: Collaborate with various functions (Governance, Design, Campaigns, Data, UI/UX, Video, Web, SEO) to meet marketing goals. Use of all required communication platforms on the client team.
- Client management: Achievement of client-specific KPIs and meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Client team writer utilization: Ensure proper utilization of writers (mitigate scope creep)
- Thought leadership: Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and develop workshops to help junior writers leverage these trends to stay ahead of the competition.
- Internal projects/cover as required: Be open to participating in internal projects and/or serve as back-up/cover resource for key clients when needed
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Advertising, Humanities, Journalism, Mass Communications, Marketing, PR, Business Administration, and other related courses.

- Long-form content samples (blogs, publications, whitepapers, case studies)
- Short-form content samples (email copy, social media copy)
- Other content samples (editorial calendars, publishing calendars, video scripts, marketing presentations, content strategy presentations)
