Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure. Ensuring efficient resource management, security, and performance for our services.
  • This position observes applicable policies, standards, procedures and guidelines of the ITSSG, the Bank and the regulatory agencies such as the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in the conduct of work.

How will you contribute?

  • Kubernetes Cluster Management
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in various environments (on-premises and cloud).
  • Perform regular cluster upgrades and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Implement and manage multi-cluster configurations for improved resilience and load balancing.
  • Containerization Strategy
  • Design and implement containerization strategies for applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Optimize container images for performance, size, and security.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting
  • Implement monitoring solutions to track the health and performance of applications and clusters.
  • Analyze logs and metrics to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Resource Management
  • Optimize resource allocation and usage within Kubernetes clusters to ensure cost efficiency and performance.
  • Implement horizontal and vertical scaling policies to meet application demands.
  • Security and Compliance
  • Manage role-based access control (RBAC) and network policies to secure cluster resources.
  • Conduct regular user access review
  • Collaboration and Support
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless application deployment and integration.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to development teams during the application lifecycle.
  • Documentation and Training
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Kubernetes architecture, processes, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members on Kubernetes.
  • Disaster Recovery Planning
  • Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
  • Test and validate recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

What will make you successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, microservices architecture, and service meshes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA) or related technologies.
  • Experience with Helm, Istio, or other Kubernetes tools.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g Terraform)
  • Relevant knowledge in most of the following:
  • Banking principles, terminologies, products, policies and procedures
  • IT principles and processes
  • Basic knowledge in Contracts/Vendor Management
  • Basic knowledge in Accounting and Finance
