The Compliance Specialist, within the Legal Affairs Department of Cebu Pacific plays a crucial role in ensuring that the airline adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast of aviation-related laws, regulations, and standards. Ensure the airline's operations, policies, and procedures comply with these requirements.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and rectify compliance issues. Develop action plans for compliance improvement.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for airline staff. Foster a culture of compliance awareness throughout the organization.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required. Maintain accurate records of compliance activities.
  • Participate in internal investigations related to compliance matters and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assess and mitigate compliance-related risks, including monitoring changes in laws and regulations that may affect the airline.
  • Work closely with various departments, including operations, finance, and human resources, to ensure compliance across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in compliance are a plus.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in compliance, preferably in the airline industry or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, such as FAA and IATA standards is a huge plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of integrity and ethics.
