Job Description:
Responsible for managing the Collection Department and ensure all money owed to the company is billed and received correctly and in a timely fashion and take a proactive approach to identify effective solutions on past due accounts that benefit both the borrower and the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling the overall operations of credit and collection department.
- Creating and implementing strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding debt.
- Working as the lead of collectors, supervising the way in which they handle phone calls and the letters they send, make sure the entire process operates in compliance with laws.
- Ensuring that all debts are collected timely and within various KPIs set.
- Investigating and resolving all payment discrepancies and invoice disputes and handle the difficult complaints and calls.
- Training and motivating the teams in their functional areas.
- Complying with the company credit policies, rules and procedures.
- Maintaining relevant records and data.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field is preferred.
- Must have at least 8 years of relevant experience in credit management within the financial services industry; At least 3 years of leadership experience as a Team Lead in finance, banking, or fintech.
- Exceptional communication skill. Proficiency in Mandarin or Hokkien is a requirement.
- Experience working with regional peers and stakeholders, particularly in the Asia-Pacific market is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, time management, and strategic planning skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
