Position: Claims and Billing Specialist
Location: Global One, Eastwood, Libis, QC, Philippines

- Process and submit insurance claims in accordance with insurer requirements and federal regulations.
- Handle billing and invoicing for therapists utilizing our EMR platform, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Conduct regular follow-ups on unpaid claims with insurers and other third parties, and manage denials by initiating appeals.
- Collaborate with therapists to obtain any necessary documentation for claim submission and resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, payer policies, and compliance guidelines.
- Assist in the integration and onboarding of therapists onto the Billing Module, providing support and training as needed.
- Utilize the EMR platform to input patient data, verify insurance eligibility, and manage patient billing inquiries.
- Work closely with the development team to provide feedback and suggestions for billing module enhancements based on user experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in medical billing, preferably within behavioral health or similar healthcare sectors.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing software, with a preference for candidates with experience in EMR platforms.
- Strong understanding of healthcare insurance processes, coding, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Patient and empathetic, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Proactive and motivated, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, with a preference for those who have worked in behavioral healthcare settings.
- Experience with third-party billing and insurance claim processes is highly desirable.
- Accuracy and timeliness of claim submissions and resolutions.
- Reduction in the average time to collect outstanding receivables.
- Positive feedback from therapists and other platform users regarding support and training.
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of the Billing Module and overall platform functionality.
- A practical test simulating the billing process using scenarios typical to the behavioral healthcare setting.
- Scenario-based interview questions to assess problem-solving and customer service skills.
