We are looking for a Civil Works Engineer (Horizontal Development / Land Development) who will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing engineering works related to land development projects, including site preparation, roadworks, drainage, utilities installation, grading, and other horizontal infrastructure works.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for horizontal and land development projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate site works including earthworks, roadworks, drainage, water supply, sewerage, and utility installation.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, engineering standards, and local government regulations.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, surveyors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of works.
  • Prepare and review project schedules, cost estimates, and progress reports.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to design and technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot engineering and site-related issues and recommend corrective measures.
  • Ensure environmental protection measures are implemented during site development.
  • Prepare technical reports, as-built plans, and documentation for project completion and turnover.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in horizontal development, land development, or related civil works.
  • Strong knowledge of site grading, road construction, drainage systems, and utility installation.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in large-scale land development projects.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with local permitting processes and land development regulations.
