Civil Engineer

Overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafting Specialist experienced in preparing Grading, Sediment, and Erosion Control Plans (GSECP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil drafting, understanding of site grading, stormwater management, and erosion control practices, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD software. This role involves creating high-quality construction drawings that meet local, state, and federal regulations while ensuring best practices in environmental protection and site development.

What Will You Do

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive grading plans, ensuring proper site elevation, slope stability, and drainage patterns.
• Draft sediment and erosion control plans using appropriate control measures such as silt fences, sediment basins, and slope stabilization methods.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure accurate and compliant plan sets.
• Incorporate stormwater management systems into plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to client specifications and regulatory standards.
• Maintain and organize all drafting documentation, ensuring proper version control and accessibility.
  
  

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in drafting civil site plans, particularly in grading, sediment, and erosion control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard drafting software.
• Understanding of stormwater management systems, hydrology, and soil erosion control practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality drawings.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
