- Manage and supervise the actual construction of a project under contract and or undertaken by administration by the company. This includes:
- Checking and familiarization of design plans, quantity estimates, program of work and estimates and items of work activity outputs for smooth implementation of the project.
- Sets out project limits, alignments and elevations in accordance with design plans. Must be aware if there are inconformity’s in actual field conditions as compared to the design plans and report such findings to the company’s authorized managing officer for verification and possible change in plans.
- Must see to it that the usage of Labor, Equipment and materials are optimized, so as there will be no wastage and or unnecessary additional expenses to be incurred by the company. Likewise, he shall see to it that equipment at site are maintained properly.
- Must see to it that the most acceptable and appropriate construction methodology shall be employed in the project for its structural stability and best workmanship.
- Maintain, prepare and submit project logbook, project monitoring reports and utilize the various company forms i.e.; purchase requests, fuel consumption and delivery of material forms etc. in project implementation.
- Inform the management of important issues and concerns of the project. Prepare change orders variation orders, time suspension/extension documents if necessary.
- Attend company meetings, and coordination meetings with the project proponent, Local Government Units and other offices concerned in the project implementation.
- Prepare field payroll and evaluate performance of equipment operators and field workers. See to it that proper discipline of workers and decorum is observed at project site.
- Conduct tool box meetings every morning to see to it that health and safety programs are observed and provide directions on what schedule of activities are to be done to attain target schedule of the project. This shall include other topics that needs to be discussed in the field.
- Supervise the works of the subcontractors and see to it that the works are done in accordance with contract time, plans and specifications. The subcontractor’s accomplishment shall be quantified weekly and submit to the company’s office.
- Perform other project related functions as may be assigned.
