Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Calibration Maintenance, Monitoring and Repair
  
  

The Calibration Technician assists and helps the Calibration/ESD Engineer in establishing the Calibration process management in LEPI across all product lines. This includes performing internal calibration of monitoring and measuring resources (equipment and metrology tools) in a periodic frequency to ensure valid and reliable results prior use.

The Calibration Technician ensures that all monitoring and measuring resources are suitable for the specific type of monitoring and measurement activities being undertaken, maintained to ensure continuing fitness for their purpose and traceable to International / National Measurement Standards. It is also his/her responsibility to assists in organizing external calibration to certified external calibration service provider and in-house calibration. Monitoring and measurement tools should be identified with proper labels to determine their status and is safeguarded from un-authorized adjustments, damage or deterioration that would invalidate the calibration status and subsequent measurement results.

The Calibration Technician also ensures that calibration and verification procedures are available and updated. If monitoring and measuring resources are found unfit, it is the responsibility of the Calibration Technician to inform the Calibration/ESD Engineer and the process owners tp take appropriate corrective actions as necessary.

• Calibration Quality Systems & Audits
  
  

The Calibration Technician assists the Calibration/ESD Engineer in the preparation of the Calibration Process during Internal and External Audits such as ISO. It is his/her responsibility that all documented information or records as evidence of fitness of purpose is available, reviewed and correct (i.e Calibration Certificates, Verification Test Data, etc). The Calibration Database shall be maintained and monitored at all times.

• Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
  
  

The Calibration Technician helps in the investigation and corrective actions should there be any non-conformances seen in the Calibration Process. It is the responsibility of the Calibration Technician to well understand Calibration issues and ensuring necessary corrective actions are implemented to avoid repeat of problems and issues.

• Continuous Improvements Submits and implements process improvements through bright idea programs, ensure that improvements are true that adds value to the process (i.e external calibration cost reduction, outsource of alternate and cheaper external provider, reduction of calibration frequency, etc)
  
  

Educational Attainment And Work Experience

• Atleast 2yrs Technical or Vocational Graduate
• Atleast 5-year experience in metrology, calibration, maintenance and repair in manufacturing companies preferably in semiconductor and optoelectronics industries.
• Experience in manufacturing production start-up.
• Knowledgeable in ISO and calibration provider supplier audits is highly regarded.
• Assertive and with ability to lead cross functional teams to drive Calibration process improvements.
• Flexible & highly adaptive to fast-paced working environment. Well versed in writing procedures and work instructions.
