Job Purpose

You’ll work on the most critical and strategic issues of the lending / credit business. The problems you will solve traverse the domains of financial economics to corporate strategy, product design, deal-making, customer engagement, partnerships, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

STRATEGY AND PROPOSITION DEVELOPMENT

  • Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using data analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations;
  • Leverage analytical frameworks and statistical techniques to build and manage lending / credit risk strategies for the bank’s lending programs;
  • Manage acquisition and customer management lending programs to balance risk vs. revenue and generate business value;
  • Develop reporting to assist in the identification and evaluation of risks (credit, fraud, financial, operational) associated with various banking products;
  • Assist in formulating the overall strategy and the design of products, features and engagement mechanics for lending / credit proposition use cases;
  • Assist in the management of end-to-end life cycle of lending / credit products and its distribution channels, such as ideation, design, and management of its features, together with the timely implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives to drive value creation;
  • Together with other stakeholders and businesses, research and monitor lending / credit product and customer trends to inform the ideation and prioritization of new lending / credit products and features for the portfolio;
  • Together with Strategy and other stakeholders, assist in the development the business rationale (e.g., value proposition, opportunity sizing) for new lending / credit product initiatives, to inform product prioritization;

PARTNERSHIPS AND CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT

  • Assist in developing the strategic external partnerships needed with technology and data platforms or distribution channels to enable innovative and differentiated lending / credit products & features;
  • Assist in coordinating and partnering with the rest of the business, the technology teams and technology / product partners to deliver products and features with a distinctive customer experience;
  • Liaise with TymeX (product and technology teams) on lending / credit product category, with the design, development, data analytics and innovation teams in TymeX

OPERATIONS AND STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Lead the end-to-end process of the lending / credit products and coordinate with the relevant business units and partners in areas such as the operations, customer servicing and marketing;
  • Together with the Sales & Marketing team, assist in the formulation and tactical execution of the products’ go-to-market strategies across segments and channels;
  • Together with stakeholders from regulatory functions, assist in the documentation and fulfillment of administrative requirements related to the implementation of proposition initiatives;
  • Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of proposition initiatives, identify the key drivers for success or failure, and recommend improvements when necessary; and
  • Assist in managing the P&L of assigned product portfolio

Job Specification

Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma Etc)

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering)

Relevant Work Experience

  • Prior lending and / or credit underwriting experience is a plus
  • Consumer, SME and corporate lending, leveraged finance, private credit, investment banking, management consulting professionals are welcome to apply

Competencies/Skills (Essential To Succeed In This Job)

  • Strong technical and data skills (good understanding of database relationships and prior coding background--SQL, Python, R, SAS)
  • Strategic and analytical orientation (strong track record of data-driven decision making and problem solving)
