About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to join our growing Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and Atome Card team. In this role, you will drive merchant acquisition, strategic partnerships, and revenue growth across key verticals, helping to scale our presence in the digital payments and consumer credit space. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding Atome’s footprint across both online and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchant Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify, pitch, and onboard strategic merchant partners across retail, e-commerce, travel, healthcare, and lifestyle sectors. - Develop strong, trust-based relationships with key merchant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with merchants to drive Atome Card and BNPL adoption and transaction growth.
Partnership Development:
- Lead commercial negotiations and finalize agreements with key merchants and ecosystem partners.
- Explore co-branded or exclusive partnership opportunities to increase customer acquisition and spending.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of partnerships.
- Support campaign planning and execution with internal and external stakeholders.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Stay updated on competitive trends, industry developments, and consumer behavior in the BNPL and credit card space.
- Provide insights and recommendations for product and market expansion.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor merchant performance metrics and track commercial KPIs such as GMV, conversion rates, and customer acquisition.
- Identify growth opportunities or risks through data analysis and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or account management, preferably in fintech, payments, or consumer finance.
- Demonstrated experience in driving commercial deals and managing partner relationships.
-Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with digital payments, BNPL, or credit card ecosystems is a strong plus.
Preferred Experience: (Nice to haves)
- Exposure to SEA markets and local merchant ecosystems.
- Experience in launching or scaling a card product or alternative credit solutions.
- Prior experience working with retail chains, e-commerce platforms, or financial institutions.
