Position: Broker Support Assistant
Location: Two Ecom, MOA
Work setup & shift: Day Shift | Onsite

Client and Policy Administration
- Set up new client records and maintain existing files in accordance with internal procedures
- Perform data entry and policy processing tasks using systems including WinBEAT, Sunrise, SVU, and OfficeTech, across the following categories:
- Referrals
- Endorsements
- New business
- Cancellations
- Premium funding arrangements
- Maintain the integrity of the data management system by:
- Logging client interactions and policy notes
- Ensuring accurate and timely filing of documentation
- Track and update processing status via the master renewal spreadsheet
- Monitor and manage assigned tasks through OfficeTech and/or Asana
- Submit completed tasks and time entries through the broker’s preferred time tracking system
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations, including privacy laws, data security protocols, and confidentiality requirements
- Maintain Modulus’ high standards of service and professionalism in all internal operations
- Engage with brokers to clarify task requirements and confirm processing status
- Provide general administrative assistance to brokers as needed
- Support the Directors in achieving operational goals and delivering on business objectives
- Perform day-to-day office administration tasks as required
- Participate in internal meetings via the broker’s preferred communication platform
- Strictly maintain client confidentiality at all times
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry — preferably within broking, though underwriting experience will also be considered
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and ability to adapt quickly to various digital platforms
- Solid IT competency, with the ability to troubleshoot, learn new systems, and support process improvements
- Tier 2 Certification in General Insurance (ASIC RG 146 compliant)
- Tier 1 Certification in Insurance Broking

- Detail-Oriented and Quality-Focused: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in administrative tasks, documentation, and data entry; consistently produces work to a high standard
- Organised and Efficient: Able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and follow workflows effectively; strong time management and task coordination skills
- Clear and Professional Communicator: Communicates confidently and respectfully with brokers and internal teams to ensure tasks are clarified, updates are shared, and priorities are understood
- Self-Motivated and Proactive: Takes initiative, works independently, and requires minimal supervision; actively contributes to team efficiency and continuous improvement
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in insurance broking administration
- Proven expertise across both Personal Lines (home, private motor, landlord) and Business Insurance packages
- Proficient in using the WinBEAT broking system
- Familiarity with Sunrise and Steadfast SVU platforms highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume data entry and processing with accuracy and efficiency
- Prior experience working with an Australian-based insurance brokerage or firm
