Job Description

We are looking for a highly driven and culturally attuned Celebrity and KOL Manager who will lead the planning and execution of Shopee’s celebrity and top-tier influencer (KOL) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong industry relationships, a sharp understanding of Filipino pop culture, and proven experience in talent negotiations, campaign execution, strategy development, and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of monthly KOL campaigns across brand marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and implement KOL strategies that align with campaign objectives, platform behavior, and audience interests.
  • Analyze performance data (impressions, engagement, CPM, CPR, etc.) to improve future KOL activation strategies and identify high-performing content formats.
  • Negotiate rates and finalize contracts with celebrities, talent managers, and KOLs.
  • Create clear and compelling campaign briefs for talents, aligned with marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams (brand, creatives, risk assessment, legal, community) and external partners (talent agencies, production houses, and other suppliers) to ensure smooth execution of deliverables.
  • Strategize and develop initiatives to strengthen relationships with top celebrities and local talent agencies.
  • Actively monitor and identify trending personalities, entertainment formats, and emerging influencers across platforms such as TikTok, Meta, and mainstream media.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on personality-brand fit and support integration of celebrities/KOLs in brand campaigns.
  • Stay updated on local pop culture and entertainment trends that can be leveraged for brand initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in celebrity, talent, or KOL management.
  • Strong ability to craft effective KOL strategies tailored to different campaign needs.
  • Ability to interpret campaign data and derive actionable insights to enhance performance.
  • Deep understanding of the Philippine media, entertainment, and influencer landscape.
  • Strong network and background in talent and influencer negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management capabilities.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, and team-oriented.
  • Culturally in tune with Filipino consumer behavior and familiar with popular and emerging public figures.
