Bookkeeper

About the role

Culinaire Academy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team in our San Fernando, Pampanga office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of our established culinary school.

What you'll be doing

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and processing payroll
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
• Support the finance team in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as needed

What we're looking for

• At least 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the education or service industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the finance team and other stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
