About the role:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate, coordinated 3D BIM models for HVAC, Plumbing, Sanitary, and Fire Protection systems using Autodesk Revit MEP, ensuring integration with electrical and structural disciplines.
- Assist engineers in design input, including ductwork and pipe routing, equipment layout, pipe sizing, and coordination of service zones, as well as any required technical documentation or modelling support.
- Generate and update mechanical drawings, such as layout plans, isometric views, schematics, riser diagrams, and equipment schedules, in compliance with local and international standards.
- Work in a collaborative BIM environment with architects, structural, and MEP teams to ensure high-quality, clash-free model coordination.
- Participate in clash detection and model review processes using Navisworks Manage, and help resolve coordination issues through internal and external meetings.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), modelling standards, and ISO 19650 protocols.
- Manage model versions and drawing outputs within BIM 360 / ACC or other Common Data Environments (CDEs).
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Revit families and BIM libraries for HVAC and PSFP components.
- Support QA/QC activities, ensuring design accuracy, model integrity, and documentation completeness.
- Collaborate with regional and global project teams across different time zones, including offices in Singapore, Australia, and the Middle East.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modelling and documentation of mechanical building services, including HVAC, Plumbing, Sanitary, and Fire Protection systems.
- Strong familiarity with mechanical system layout standards and coordination requirements.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manage.
- Experience with BIM 360 / ACC and Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems design, including:
- HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, ventilation, VRF)
- Plumbing systems (e.g., cold/hot water supply, drainage)
- Sanitary and waste systems
- Fire protection systems (e.g., sprinkler layouts, fire risers)
Soft Skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work well in teams and meet project deadlines.
Desirable but not required
- Exposure to international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, BS, AS/NZS).
- Experience working on international projects with cross-border coordination.
