Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate, coordinated 3D BIM models for electrical systems using Autodesk Revit MEP, ensuring integration with mechanical and plumbing disciplines as required.
  • Assist electrical engineers in design input, including cable routing, load summaries, equipment layouts, and any other technical documentation or modelling tasks as required.
  • Generate and update electrical drawings, such as layout plans, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and panel schedules, in accordance with project standards and local/international codes.
  • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary BIM environment, working closely with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to ensure seamless model integration and design coordination.
  • Participate in clash detection and model coordination using tools like Navisworks Manage, and assist in resolving issues during internal and external coordination meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Surbana Jurong’s modelling standards, and ISO 19650 protocols.
  • Support model and drawing management tasks on BIM 360 / ACC or other Common Data Environments (CDEs), including version control and model updates.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of BIM workflows, Revit families, and design automation tools to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews of models and deliverables, ensuring a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and constructability.
  • Coordinate with regional and global project teams (e.g., Singapore, Australia, Middle East), supporting delivery across multiple time zones when required.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical field.


Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modelling and documentation of electrical building systems.
  • Familiarity with modelling standards and electrical design principles; exposure to multidisciplinary coordination is essential.


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manage.
  • Working knowledge of BIM 360 / ACC and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Understanding of electrical system types (e.g., power, lighting, emergency systems, grounding, fire alarm).


Soft Skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work well in teams and meet project deadlines.


Desirable but not required

  • Exposure to international project standards and codes (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS, AS/NZS).
  • Experience collaborating with regional or global teams across different time zones.
