Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Audit Accountant to join their assurance team. This vital role involves leading complex audit engagements and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in public accounting, deep knowledge of GAAP, and a keen interest in serving Not-for-Profit and Governmental entities.
Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Audit Accountant to join their assurance team. This vital role involves leading complex audit engagements and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in public accounting, deep knowledge of GAAP, and a keen interest in serving Not-for-Profit and Governmental entities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for engagement-related matters.
- Perform risk assessments, detailed testing of financial statements, and evaluation of internal controls.
- Prepare and review financial statements, accompanying footnotes, and management letters.
- Identify complex accounting and auditing issues, researching applicable guidance, and developing practical recommendations for clients and management.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards (e.g., GAAS, Government Auditing Standards).
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience of audit engagements (Not-for-Profit and Governmental entities preferred)
- US CPA eligible required. US CPA preferred
- Knowledgeable in general accounting principles.
- Experience with the following industries and audit types is a plus: Corporate, nonprofit, construction, single audit, government/Yellow Book, employee benefit plans.
- Experience with ProSystems fx Engagement, SMART E-Practice, and PPC Tools is a plus
