AU Senior Tax Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of tasks to help deliver Business Services work requirements to the client. The core focus is to provide high quality work in a timely manner to a broad portfolio of clients.

About the Role

• Prepare income tax returns, financial statements and Activity Statements (BAS/IAS) for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts.
• Attend to business related matters for your clients e.g., fringe benefits tax, tax planning, interim work, assessment notices etc
• Providing taxation and financial advice to companies, individuals, and partnerships.
• Determine Small business CGT concessions, FBT, Div. 7a and GST reconciliations and calculations
• Summarise and prepare Taxable Payments Annual Reports (TPAR)
• Mentor and oversee junior, intermediate accountants and colleagues
• Maintaining client relationships with attendance at meetings as required and being the key contact for a portfolio of clients
  
  

What we are looking for

The role will suit an experienced accountant who is looking for the next step in their Australian accounting professional career. Additionally, the successful candidate will have:

• At least four (4) years of experience as an offshore accountant with an Australian accounting firm
• Experience in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, Handisoft or equivalent Australian tax compliance software
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for communicating with our Australian professional staff and clients
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective task and time management skills, awareness of job budgets and productivity targets
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
• A positive attitude and the desire to contribute to a high performing team
