Job Summary:

The Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational focus to identify opportunities for improvement, implement effective solutions, cost saving initiatives and measure results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Support Management:
    • Ensure total compliance to procedures and specifications that will lead to achievement of Customer KPIs and Regional Performance measurements.
    • Support development, implementation and review of SOPs and Work Instructions to meet customer-specific requirements, regulatory and quality standards.
    • Work with operations management to develop a culture of service excellence, flexibility, cost consciousness and productivity initiatives.
    • Identify additional and critical key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Establish a roadmap for continuous improvement, setting clear goals and timelines.
    • Track and raise operations incident reports. Assist and coordinate with operations team any non-conformance affecting Quality, Safety, Regulatory, Health and Environment.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and reduce cycle times.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to analyze current processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop innovative solutions.
    • Assist in monitoring the progress of all corrective and preventive actions related to Quality, Health, Safety, Regulatory and Environmental matters undertaken by the Operations team.
  • Change Management:
    • Organize and lead the focus on improved productivity levels and foster a mindset of innovation and problem-solving.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to gain support for improvement and cost savings initiatives.
    • Manage change effectively, mitigating resistance and ensuring a smooth transition to new processes.
  • Data Analysis and Reports:
    • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and prioritize initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain a robust system for tracking and reporting on key performance indicators.
    • Support operations team in generating accurate and timely monthly regional reports for Regional Performance measurement.
  • People Management and Training:
    • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams involved in improvement projects.
    • Conduct training to all Supply Chain Management associates on SOPs, productivity initiatives and PM tools .
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of desired outcomes.
    • Prioritize projects based on their potential impact and alignment with strategic goals.
    • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to address challenges and opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in operations and process excellence in Warehousing and Logistics
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma, preferred.
  • Commercial and operational awareness of Key Operational Performance
  • Proven track record in driving operational excellence and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing change.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Good training, facilitation, coaching and auditing skills
  • Capability to map process and develop/review SOPs
  • A passion for continuous improvement and a commitment to achieving results
