Art Director

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Art Directorwith fluency in graphic design and photography or videographyto lead and execute the creative vision for Printique, Adoramas printing company, and other Adorama Inc. companies. This team member loves to concept campaigns, develop effective design strategies and create dynamic, elevated designs for digital, print, merchandising, video and packaging in a fast-paced and competitive retail industry. We need a team player who collaborates well with Marketing, Content and Business partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

BRANDING:

• Adhere to existing brand guidelines, while exploring new ideas to elevate the brand
• Create and evolve brand designs for assets used across all channels to deliver exceptional user experiences
• Art Director with experience in printing, retail, jewelry, luxury and beauty industries a plus
  
  
  

DIGITAL:

• Concept and execute designs for emails, banners and social media deliverables for marketing campaigns, promotions and advertising
• Monitor social media channels for trends and incorporate them into designs and content
• Shoot and retouch original photography and create photo compositions
• Create/edit short format videos, GIFs, and reels to engage the audience across digital platforms
• Develop templates for team members and retail partners to use UX/UI skills a plus
• Front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, Javascript) a plus
  
  
  

PRINT PROMOTION/MERCHANDISING:

• Create, layout, build, package, preflight, and proof print ready mechanicals for various print work including instore visual elements, catalogs, collateral, swag and advertising
• Liaise with Marketing, Content and Sales on campaign initiatives
• Design graphics, signage and displays
• Partner with Marketing Teams to ensure project stability
  
  
  

MANAGEMENT:

• Manage creative process and workflow
• Project manage design requests across all channels
• Weekly meetings with multiple channel owners to ensure campaign strategies and executions meet objectives and timelines
• Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all touch points
  
  
  

Requirements:

• 5-8 years experience minimum, preferably in retail, printing, technology, jewelry, beauty industries Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a must
• Canva, Unfold, Klaviyo, Word Press experience is a plus
• Video editing software experience a plus After Effects, Premiere, Da Vinci Resolve
• Understanding of AI-related design tools
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within brand guidelines
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Avid photographer/videographer with a keen passion for the photo industry trends and news.
