A/R Follow up Specialist

We are currently looking for an A/R Follow-up Specialist who will be working with Connext's Client in the United States of America.

What is the job?

• Regularly access and navigate various payer websites and portals to check the status of submitted claims.
• Contact insurance payers via telephone to inquire about the status of outstanding claims, gather information on processing, and resolve any issues preventing payment.
• Accurately and thoroughly document all follow-up actions, payer interactions, claim status updates, and any resolutions within the billing system.
• Identify trends and recurring issues causing claim delays or non-payment and escalate them to the appropriate personnel (e.g., coding, billing management).

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in accounts receivable follow-up or medical billing.
• Must have a stable employment history.
• Proven ability to effectively navigate and utilize various insurance payer websites and portals (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial payers).
• Strong understanding of the healthcare billing cycle, including claim submission, payment posting, and denial management.
• Demonstrated experience in communicating effectively with insurance payers via telephone.
