The Asia Pacific (APAC) HR Lead works in partnership with the Commercial Aircraft Group (CAG) leadership teams located in Baguio, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and India to achieve the overall business objectives and initiatives in the APAC region. This role will proactively identify, define and implement appropriate HR strategies to enable the business to increase performance and contribute to strategy development, policies and decision making. This includes leading a team of site-based HR professionals accountable for Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations
This role will report to the Strategic HRBP, Commercial OE & Aftermarket
To be considered for the APAC HR Lead, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- Educational Background: A degree or equivalent in HR, Business, Communication, or a relevant field
- Experience: Typically around 10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an international, matrix environment
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of HR professionals
- Advisory Experience: Proven experience in advising and influencing senior management in both business and people-related decisions

Understand strategic business objectives and contribute to the creation, execution, and ongoing development of that strategy
- Cultural Assimilation: Support the cultural diversities of the region that impact HR practices. Quickly understand relevant statutory requirements to lead a compliant HR model and adapt to the complexity of labor laws and regulations across different countries
- Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and coach a team of HR professionals accountable for all site-based HR functions at a large manufacturing facility in Baguio
- Regional Support: Provide regional support to HR employees needing guidance on local laws, culture, and country-specific HR expertise
- HR Strategy Development: Develop, own, and implement an APAC HR strategy that drives employee engagement and retention, supporting the overall business strategy. Challenge the status quo and introduce new processes or amend current practices to aid business strategy delivery and achieve corporate objectives. Ensure all APAC HR initiatives align with overall CAG HR strategic priorities
- Organizational Development: Provide leadership and expertise in organizational development, design, and change management. Continuously review organizational effectiveness and implement necessary changes to ensure success
- Talent Management: Lead the rollout and subsequent actions of critical talent management tasks, such as talent identification, performance management, and succession planning. Own the talent pool and ensure continuous improvement of the talent pipeline and bench strength to meet future business needs
- Best Practices: Promote a best practice approach to people management, acting as a coach, facilitator, and role model. Uphold the Moog Culture and Philosophy
- Employee Metrics: Proactively manage and control employee metrics, ensuring data integrity standards are upheld
- HR Projects: Successfully deliver and implement 'business as usual' activities and lead HR projects across multiple Operating Groups within the APAC region
- Collaboration: Work in partnership with other HR areas to develop and continually improve policies, processes, and initiatives. Represent the business perspective within HR
- Strategic Recommendations: Recognize, understand, and assess complex organizational issues, making strategic recommendations for improvement
- Relationship Building: Quickly and effectively build collaborative working relationships with business leaders and other members of the wider Moog HR team
