A.I. Expert Manager
The A.I. Expert Manager role will work on Data & Analytics initiatives with a strong focus on demonstrating data to drive strategic decision-making and deliver actionable insights across multiple business functions, including Supply Chain, Marketing & Sales, Consumer Care, GRRP and Finance. In this role will be responsible unleash value of data through the application of advanced data science models, adopting a hands-on approach to ensure effective implementation.
The role requires a strong analytical and problem-solving background. They must familiar with machine learning, statistical and deep learning approaches for classification, clustering, segmentation or others. Also, has exposure to Generative AI techniques and solutions. They are required to work with other business partners, data analysts, data scientists, and data strategists to define and develop data opportunities, as well as give actionable insights and suggestions.
In addition to advanced analytic skills, this role is also proficient at integrating and preparing large, varied datasets, architecting specialized models/computing environments, and communicating results. Proficiency on natural language processing is a plus
As an A.I. Expert Manager in the area of Information Technology, you will:
- Implements Data Science opportunities across different functions
- Works with other business functions, data analysts, and data strategists to identify and propose advanced analytical opportunities with a special focus on solutions based on Generative AI.
- Identifies what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, demonstrating new data collection processes.
- Collaborates with other business functions and markets to select the relevant sources of information.
- Partners with external providers of data and data science A.I. to developed tailored solutions for:
- enrich, segment, and profile data
- predict forecast for better planning
- classify data for process efficiency
- improve machine predictive maintenance and parameter tuning
- enhance consumer and customer experience
- improve the employee experience
- mine, track, and analyze consumer opinion and sentiment to inform cross-functional strategies
- Data Preparation and Feature Engineering
- Defines the validity of the information, how long the information is meaningful, and what other information it is related to.
- Defines the data quality standards in the context of the specific initiatives.
- Identifies and qualifies where information can be stored or what information, external to the organization may be used in support of the data initiative.
- Identifies in collaboration with data analysts the main features and business drivers needed to optimize the model.
- Data Mining and Analysis
- In collaboration with data analysts and data strategists, identifies and collects data from all kinds of different sources such asweb APIs, internal database, external customer databases, and so on. This will involve extending JTI’s data with second and third party sources of information when needed
- Uses algorithms to efficiently go through large datasets and apply treatments, filters and conditions to internal and external data.
- Processes, cleanses, and verifies the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Present and depict the rationale of the findings in easy to understand terms for non scientific audience.
- Provides on-going tracking and monitoring of performance of decision systems and statistical models.
- Training and Support
- Ensure key business leaders are educated in new approaches, such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of results. Helps the organization understand the principles and the math behind the process to drive organizational agreement.
- Provides business metrics for the overall data initiative to show improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering or a related field Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of Business professional experience (with relevant industry experience) focusing on data science and advanced analysis across multinational organizations
- Proven experience working with Python and mastering SQL.
- Knowledge of major cloud computing platforms (i.e. Microsoft Azure)
- Knowledge of major Big data storage (i.e. data lake), analytical engines (i.e.Spark), and API management for model consumption.
- Experience working with Git and knowledge of branching strategies
- Mastering common supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning techniques, as well as forecasting techniques
- Proficiency on working with structured and unstructured (i.e., textual or visual) data sources Knowledge of Deep Learning methods and Generative AI techniques
Additional skills required:
- Should be passionate about challenging prediction problems, finding insights in data, and applying your conclusions to drive clear and practical business impact.
- Should be a creative thinker and propose innovative ways to look at problems by using data mining (the process of discovering new patterns from large datasets) approaches on the set of information available an data science techniques for clustering, predicting and classifying.
- Knowledge and experience in Natural Language Processing techniques, including sentiment analysis, text classification or topic modeling, will be a plus
- Must be able to present back findings to business leaders by exposing assumptions and validation results in a way that a non-scientific audience can easily understand
- Excellent written and communication skills to report back the findings in a clear, structured manner are required
- Have strong interpersonal management skills and ability to operate in indirect/remote teams
- Demonstrable experience in presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms to technical and business stakeholders
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
