The work: - Configure and maintain monitoring tools and systems to track application performance and system events. - Implement monitoring strategies to detect anomalies and potential issues. - Analyze events and logs to identify trends, patterns and potential problems. - Respond to alerts and incidents promptly to reduce downtime and impact. - Monitor application performance metrics and identify areas for improvements. - Work with development and operations teams to improve application performance and reliability. - Automate monitoring processes and alerting mechanism to improve efficiency. - Improve scripts and tools as part of continual improvement to automate repetitive monitoring tasks - Generate reports on application performance, system events and incidents. - Document monitoring configurations, processes and incidents responses. - Collaborate with development, operations and support teams to provide monitoring coverage. - Provide insights and recommendations based on monitoring data to improve overall system performance.
