As An Accounts & Payroll Officer, You Will
- Process end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll accurately and on time
- Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll queries and manage the payroll email inbox
- Ensure timely and accurate PAYG and Payroll Tax calculations and payments
- Prepare and support year-end financial reporting and submissions
- Ensure compliance and timely processing of superannuation
- Accurately process payroll deductions and maintain payroll and employee records
- Assist staff and management with all payroll-related inquiries
- Perform other duties as required by the Senior Accounts & Payroll Officer
- Demonstrate PARC values by adhering to Code of Conduct and promoting a positive company image
- Take responsibility for maintaining a safe, compliant, and organized work environment
Non-negotiables
- Proven experience as an Accounts or Payroll Officer
- Experience processing payroll for a large organization
- Experience in interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
- Experience using Pronto software
- Strong database knowledge, including excellent Excel skills
- Ability to work to deadlines with strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and high attention to detail and accuracy
- Formal accounting or bookkeeping qualifications
- Experience within the mining and resources industry
- Learning agility and ability to quickly apply new concepts
