Your Role:

As An Accounts & Payroll Officer, You Will

  • Process end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll accurately and on time
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll queries and manage the payroll email inbox
  • Ensure timely and accurate PAYG and Payroll Tax calculations and payments
  • Prepare and support year-end financial reporting and submissions
  • Ensure compliance and timely processing of superannuation
  • Accurately process payroll deductions and maintain payroll and employee records
  • Assist staff and management with all payroll-related inquiries
  • Perform other duties as required by the Senior Accounts & Payroll Officer
  • Demonstrate PARC values by adhering to Code of Conduct and promoting a positive company image
  • Take responsibility for maintaining a safe, compliant, and organized work environment

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

  • Proven experience as an Accounts or Payroll Officer
  • Experience processing payroll for a large organization
  • Experience in interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
  • Experience using Pronto software
  • Strong database knowledge, including excellent Excel skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and high attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred skills/expertise

  • Formal accounting or bookkeeping qualifications
  • Experience within the mining and resources industry
  • Learning agility and ability to quickly apply new concepts
