Accounting Supervisor

MCR Industries is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to lead the accounting team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform month-end accounting activities such as:

• bank reconciliation
• generate depreciation and amortization expense
• generate operating expenses by department/cost center
• preparation and posting of manual journal entries for accruals, deferrals and other adjusting entries, required
• generation of trial balance

2. Prepare Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflows for the current month and Year to Date vs. prior year, and vs. Budget

3. Monitor capital expenditures by maintaining the fixed assets register and updating the lapsing schedule

4. Review and/or prepare the required BIR reports and ensure that it is filed on time to avoid penalties. (refer to the attached list of government compliance reports).

5. Check and approve Vouchers Payable (VP) for correct use of accounts and cost center (dept)

6. Check and approve Invoices and DRs for accuracy in total amount, customer account and product codes

7. Prepare and submit yearend financial schedules and reports for submission to the external auditor for the generation of audited FS for filing with BIR and SEC

8. Assist in preparing the annual budget of the company

9. Participate in the inventory physical count done periodically and monitor cycle count program.

10. Collect and analyze data on operational and capital costs of the company and make recommendations on the company's processes and policies to help reduce cost and maximize profit.

11. Review and update chart of accounts to ensure proper recording of financial transactions

12. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Department Head

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software like Xero, DEAR
• Proven experience working as an Accounting Supervisor.
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confidentiality and trustworthiness
• Related work experience of at least 3 years, preferably in the manufacturing industry
