Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. This role will support our financial operations by managing month-end close processes, preparing financial reports, handling daily transaction entries, and assisting with audits and compliance tasks. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, works well independently, meets deadlines consistently, and collaborates effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare, review, and deliver accurate financial reports within set deadlines.
• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger tasks.
• Accurately classify, post, and maintain daily transactions in accordance with GAAP or local accounting standards.
• Perform bank reconciliations, internal audits, and process employee expense reports.
• Support compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting and finance projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience (corporate or firm environment preferred).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards (GAAP knowledge is a plus).
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (experience with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar tools is a plus).
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

• Flexible to work during U.S. business hours or overlapping shifts if required.
• Experience supporting U.S.-based companies or international clients is an advantage.
