The Tax Accounting Officer is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing the filing of BIR tax returns and the remittance of corresponding tax liabilities from fiduciary accounts and mutual funds, ensuring full compliance with BIR regulations and deadlines.

- Handles first review of the computation of taxes and ensure filing and remittance of the tax due from the BIR-registered trust accounts and mutual funds on or before the BIR deadline
- Handles first review of the regulatory reports required by BIR and ensure submission on or before the BIR deadline such as but not limited to Summary List of Payees, Summary List of Withholding Agents at Source, Lessee Information Sheet
- Handles first review of the documents required for BIR registration, ATP application, CBA Application, TIN cancellation and other BIR requirements, and ensures submission to BIR on or before the deadline
- Handles first review of the documents required for BIR audit and ensures submission to BIR on or before the deadline
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or other Business-related courses (Preferably CPA)
- At least 3 years of work experience in Tax Accounting/Tax Compliance
- At least 5 years of work experience in General Accounting
- Tax computation and compliance for fiduciary accounts and mutual funds
- BIR regulations, reporting requirements, and audit documentation
- Accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Bookkeeping and trust account registration procedures
- Familiarity with BIR penalties and deadlines (e.g., RMO 7-2015)
- Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and BIR systems including eFPS, ORUS, eBIRForm, and eAFS
