Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

onsemi, a large, multinational company is seeking for a self-driven and motivated professional to join the Cebu Finance team who will be responsible for general accounting functions on general ledger, treasury, intercompany accounting, and tax compliance. Also responsible for entity & government reporting and compliance functions. Flexible to handle other Finance functions like FP & A.

The position reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities

Ensures general accounting services are delivered in a timely manner and are of the highest quality of performance. General accounting services include general ledger, payroll, treasury, and tax.

• Periodic reviews and integrity of balance sheet accounts and ensures that issues are timely addressed. Includes periodic journal entries and reporting.
• Ensures compliance to national and local government authorities (Bureau of Internal Review, PEZA, Local Government Units) and regulatory requirements and continuously works towards cost-effective taxation.
• Works with external auditors on annual statutory audits, income tax determination, and audits from government authorities. Also, works with internal and SOX auditors, where applicable
• Ensures cost effectiveness and quality of general accounting through continuous process improvements and automation.
• Delivers effective leadership towards attainment of business goals, people skills development, and job enrichment.
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountancy. CPA license is preferred while Master's degree is a plus
• Has minimum 8 years working experience in Finance/Accounting
• Experience working in MEPZ is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute value added solutions
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive tasks/projects to completion
• Ability to lead and work effectively and collaboratively within team settings and build partnerships both internal and external
• Resourceful, self-starter with advanced problem-solving abilities to deliver creative solutions
• Results focused with strong personal accountability and pride of work
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
