What is the job?
The Accounting Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks including reconciling payment reports, processing payments, and creating invoices. This role ensures the accuracy of financial transactions and supports the smooth operation of the accounting department by maintaining organized records and handling accounts receivable and payable functions.
Responsibilities:
- Review and reconcile payment reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process outgoing payments to vendors, clients, and other third parties as needed.
- Create and issue invoices for customers, ensuring that all necessary details are included.
- Assist in maintaining accounts receivable and payable records, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
- Input and update financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions, payments, invoices, and related documents.
- Provide general administrative and accounting support as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
