The purpose of this role is to oversee the processing, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions, , analysis, and management accounting activities. This includes providing leadership, direction, and coordination of operational activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of accounting and reporting activities, and supporting compliance with IFRS standards. Additionally, the role involves managing end-to-end billing and collections processes, providing technical accounting support, and producing various financial reports for multiple entities.

Necessary Work Experience includes:
Some relevant work experience within a complex financial services organisation.
Preferred Work Experience includes:
Finance and/or accounting background with technical experience in database design and increasing levels of responsibility.
Proven experience of working with all levels of an organisation, especially being credible to senior management.
Project management and change management experience.
Consistent and constructive people management capabilities.
Active accountability for own workload.
Experience in a complex financial services organisation.
Extensive experience in a finance team.
Dealing with people at all levels of the organisation, particularly being credible to senior management.

Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the reinsurance strategy and processes to ensure key information is considered in planning and priorities support wider business strategy
- Ensure compliance on company policies, process and procedures (e.g. process controls, DTP), and relevant legislations
- Ensure Finance function is complied with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met
- Contribute and manage the refinement of process, procedures and systems to continuously improve the efficiency of accounting activities
- Ensure all processes conducted are documented in a standard format and maintained in an accessible fashion
- Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, to ensure service delivery meets customer expectations
- Help monitor issues and propose action plans; attend to resolve daily issues and provide valuable contribution for their resolutions
- Proactively contribute in identifying action plans to address the results of Voice of Business Partner (VoBP) surveys
- Technical Performance
- Ensure the services are delivered in line with onshore expectations and maintain quality work consistently, and high standards of service are maintained and improved upon
- Continue to seek improvements in the processes per project guidelines
- Prepare or create regular or ad-hoc reports needed by stakeholders
- Prepare DTP creation and updates on all remediated tasks
- Lead training sessions to BAU staff for handover as needed
- People Management
- Collaborate with other Teams (onshore and offshore) to achieve desired results

Qualifications:

- Certifications as an accountant.
